About Us
Welcome to the Spencer County Fastpitch Association! SCFA is a non-profit association that is owned and operated by Coach Leigh Thomas, Coach Jeremy Satterly, and Coach Josh Long. We, as a staff and board, believe in providing many learning opportunities for female athletes and their coaches, teaching and understanding the importance of softball fundamentals and life skills, and helping players and coaches become students of the game.
We offer different opportunities and resources to learn more about the game of softball, such as: Camps, Clinics, Travel Teams, Lessons, Training, and Recruitment. We are very excited to announce Spencer County Fastpitch Association, and we look forward to growing SCFA within the community!
Our Mission
The mission of SCFA is to provide a competitive, fun, and learning environment for female athletes to play and enjoy the game of softball and to prepare coaches to teach and guide these athletes to success on and off the field. SCFA is dedicated to teaching softball fundamentals and life skills to student athletes through active leadership, positive and effective coaching, and teamwork. Our primary goal is to be a knowledge and training resource for local coaches, athletes, and parents to learn and grow the sport of softball for all skill levels, whether you are just starting or preparing for college.
Our Mission for Our Players
We are committed to providing female athletes with an experience and opportunity that boosts their self-confidence, enhances their leadership and teamwork skills, and encourages them to push through adversity.
Our Mission for Our Coaches
For our coaches, we want to provide them with constructive criticism, feedback, and learning opportunities that will enhance their softball knowledge and coaches’ skills in order to help players be more successful on the field.
