Intensity Fastpitch is the travel team associated with SCFA. With this being a travel organization, games will be tournament-based, meaning Intensity Fastpitch will not play in a league setting. This is the main difference between a recreational league and a travel organization. Intensity Fastpitch Teams will travel on weekends entering different types of tournaments, playing multiple games, back to back, and challenging their skill-sets.
This opportunity is available for 8u, 10u, 12u, and 14u. Most the tournaments that Intensity Fastpitch will compete in are under the rules of the USSSA. Players age division is determined by age of the player prior to the USSSA season beginning date. The USSSA 2025 Season (Begins: 08-01-2024, Ends: 07-31-2025). Player’s expectations are heightened while playing travel ball compared to recreational play.
Players are held to a higher standard and are expected to be responsible for their own development and playing time. At this level, it is not the parent’s responsibility to talk to the coach about playing time or performance. We want players to have fun and enjoy playing for Intensity Fastpitch, but we also want them to understand that this is the next level of softball in their softball developmental stages. It comes with more responsibility and seriousness by devoting time to the game outside of basics.
